John Cena, a Well known WWE Wrestler, is finally getting a role of a Superhero in a new web series Peacemaker. He revealed that the opportunity has come to his life after several rejections. He has been rejected in both Marvel films and the DC Extended Universe.

In a recent interview, John Cena reveals that he has been rejected for several superhero roles before he got the role in Peacemaker. In the rejected roles, Shazam in DCEU and Cable in Marvel’s film Deadpool was also included.
John Cena Rejected for Shazam
In the interview, John Cena was looking happy as well sad. He said, “I can not tell how many superhero roles I have been rejected for. Shazam is certainly one. I think like a child, So, Shazam was a very interesting role to me. And when I read the script, a lot of times, like, this is the thing I do not chase, I want to do this, I always have to read it.” The role of Shazam was eventually played by Zachari Levi.
John Cena Rejected for Cable
Later, in the same interview, he added that he was also rejected for some Marvel roles. He said, “There was a brief try at the Deadpool Universe, rejection. There were a few in the Marvel Universe, rejected. But you know, I keep trying”. He also mentioned that he was also rejected for the role of Cable, it was eventually played by Josh Brolin.
Cena’s New Release
John Cena eventually got the chance to play the role of a costumed superhero but in the DC Universe when he appeared as Peacemaker in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. It had been released in the last year. John Cena is reprising his role in the spin-off series peacemaker, which was released on HBO Max in the last week.
